Empowered breeding is a method created and used by Jeanette Forrey. This method of dog breeding prioritizes the overall well-being of the animals involved. It entails selecting dogs for breeding based on their physical and mental health, as well as their genetic traits. This approach aims to produce healthy offspring with desirable characteristics while avoiding genetic disorders or other health issues. By focusing on the health and welfare of the dogs, empowered breeding promotes responsible and ethical practices within the breeding community.
By intentionally handling puppies from a young age, they become comfortable being touched and groomed, making them easier to handle as adults. Exposure to new stimuli helps puppies become familiar and comfortable with various environments, noises, and experiences, reducing the likelihood of fear or anxiety later in life.
