Why Multigen?

 We are passionate about creating multigenerational Bernedoodles with straight/wavy, low-to-no shedding coats, clear genetics, and excellent temperaments.

Our goal is to continually improve this “breed,” focusing on health, temperament, and coat quality. We are very selective with our dogs and program, hoping to create the perfect "hypoallergenic" family dog who is up for a hike, or a nap on the couch. We think this could be a new breed that meets the needs of the western family.

 

One day, we hope that Bernedoodles will have their own official registration and be recognized as a distinct breed. By carefully selecting and breeding dogs with these desirable traits, we aim to contribute to the future of the Bernedoodle as a recognized and beloved family companion.

The Bernedoodle — The Poodle Co.

At The Poodle Co., our Bernedoodle blends the best of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle, creating a loyal, intelligent, and family-focused companion.

  • Coat: Soft, wavy to curly fleece—low to non-shedding and allergy-friendly, with beautiful, full furnishings. Bernedoodles require professional grooming every 4-6 weeks.

  • Temperament: Gentle, affectionate, and eager to please—combining the Bernese’s calm loyalty with the Poodle’s brilliance and trainability.

  • Style & Colors: Striking patterns in tri-color, phantom, merle, and parti, with a sturdy, athletic build.

  • Sizes: We love Mini Bernedoodles between 20-40lbs —so there’s a perfect Bernedoodle for every home.

At The Poodle Co., our Poodle is the perfect fusion of elegance, intelligence, and versatility— Our goal is to breed calm, smart, social poodles.

  • Coat: Dense, curly fleece that retains loose hair and dander—making it low-shedding and often a great match for allergy-sensitive homes. Requires professional grooming every 4-6 weeks.

  • Temperament: Bright, loyal, and trainable—proud and affectionate, excelling in family life, agility, service, or therapy roles.

  • Style & Colors: Sleek, athletic build in a wide palette—classic solid hues like black, white, apricot, cream, silver, and more.

  • Sizes: Our favorite size is Moyen (not AKC standard) but we think they are just right for the modern family. Larger than a small 'yippy' poodle who maybe underfoot, but not 70lbs of energy. They fit nicely into your car, and urban lifestyle.

At The Poodle Co., our Australian Bernedoodle blends a multigenerational Bernedoodle (Bernese × Poodle) with a multigen Australian Labradoodle (Labrador × Cocker × Poodle), creating a thoughtfully crafted companion.

  • Coat: Straight to wavy fleece with rich furnishings—gorgeous, low to non-shedding, and allergy-friendly. They have high grooming needs, requiring professional grooms every 4-6 weeks.
